Dear Friends in Christ, Peace of the Lord be with you. This past Sunday we initiated a conversation regarding whether or not we, the Priest and People of St. Cuthbert’s, Leaside, would seek the Bishop’s permission allowing same-sex marriages to occur here. I ask us to pray for the leading of the Spirit through which we might discern the mind of the parish on this matter.
A suggested prayer:
Almighty and everliving God, source of all wisdom and understanding, guide us by your Holy Spirit to consider and discern the mind of our parish regarding same-sex marriage. Teach us in all things to seek first your honour and glory. Guide us to perceive what is right, and grant us both the courage to pursue it and the grace to accomplish it; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Ian, Priest & Pastor.

Thank you to all who attended our Town Hall Meeting on January 19. If you did not attend, or did not speak at the meeting, we would still like to hear from you. Please email our Priest and Pastor, the Rev. Ian Lafleur to let us know, confidentially, what your thoughts are on this issue.

Please let us know your thoughts by February 6, 2020.
We are pleased that St. Cuthbert’s Church and our neighbour, the Church of St. Augustine of Canterbury, have, as of October 15, welcomed two refugees, originally from Rwanda, to Canada. For the next year, we will be doing our best to make Canada a welcoming new home for them. We ask for your prayers for them and us, and also for your financial assistance if possible.
We strive to make our worship services fully accessible.
Please let us know how we can help make your time with us more comfortable.
Music is an important part of our worship at our 10 am Sunday service.
